ABOUT THE ROLE

The Ramp Agent is responsible for carrying out ramp operations, ensuring the safe and timely handling of passenger luggage, accurate logging of flight information and prompt response to service requests.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Safety of team and and equipment/assets at all times. 
  2. Hazard/Safety awareness related to work area and other equipment's
  3. Ensure a high degree of customer service, attentiveness, speed, and control error rates, whilst maintaining consistency in services.
  4. Assist in maintenance and safe usage of all ramp equipment airside.
  5. Full PPE when on airside.
  6. Required to wear and maintain professional uniform as supplied by Jetex.
  7. Follow safety regulations, company policies, and guidelines from Jetex/London Airports.
  8. Wing walking and marshalling to ensure safe services.
  9. Check aircraft compartments/doors to avoid any damage when loading and offloading.
  10. Load/offload baggage/cargo from aircraft/cart/vehicle in a safe manner using the proper lifting techniques.
  11. Follow the instructions of the Equipment Operator/Ramp Supervisor and Duty Officers/Coordinator.
  12. Inform the supervisor of any suggestions to improve the efficiency of the operations or possible solutions to problematic areas.
  13. After loading make sure minimum space for maximum loads.
  14. Knowledge of all equipment and be able to use /identify suitable tow bars.
  15. Provide assistance for Pushback/tow operation.
  16. Constantly checking on FOD and clearing as required.
  17. Read tags and segregate loads based on information received either from supervisor/tags.
  18. Handling/sorting of tools, materials, equipment and supplies.
  19. Staging, driving and operating technical equipment (if licensed) when instructed by supervisors.
  20. Any other duties assigned by Line Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION

 

High school education

EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum 1-2 years experience in aviation / airline / hotel industry/hospitality preferred.

 Knowledge of another language is a big plus

SPECIFIC / TECHNICAL SKILLS

 

Great interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent in customer service.

Good knowledge in IT Skills (MS Office database management).

Professional look.

Full Driving License

Right to work in UK
