Department Overview:

The Operations department at Jetex is responsible for crew handling, ramp operations, ground dispatch activities, safety, and record-keeping. The department plays a critical role in ensuring that flights are operated in accordance with regulations and company policies.

Job Purpose:

The Duty Officer is responsible for ensuring that all flight-related activities and requests have been arranged and completed. This includes obtaining permits, completion of ground handling and baggage handling services, catering and fueling for each flight.

Key Responsibilities:

Core duties:
  • Manage and supervise the activities of the Flight Coordinators, Operations Coordinator and Ramp team.
  • Coordinate services for catering, fueling, and any other services to be organized as per instructions and customer needs.
  • Review aircraft handling checklist to ensure fueling, catering, flight plans and route for each flight have been updated and completed.
  • Stay updated on roster changes.
  • Ensure that the airside vehicles are clean and ready for the arrival/departure of crew and passengers.
  • Ensure all baggage handling and ground handling services have been complete as per Jetex standards and customer needs.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders such as Guest Experience, Crew Handling and Concierge to ensure completion of all requests.
  • Coordinate with relevant airport authorities to ensure flight plans, landing permits and routes have been approved. Communicate all relevant information to the flight crew and customers.
  • Ensure a high degree of customer service, attentiveness, speed, and control error rates, whilst maintaining consistency in services.
  • Safety-related duties:
  • Ensure safety of clients, passengers, aircraft, Jetex personnel, equipment, communication devices and assets at all times.
  • Follow safety regulations, company policies, and guidelines from Jetex/Abu Dhabi Airports.
  • Internal management duties:
  • Raise incidents, accidents, close calls or observations in line with the Incident Management procedure.
  • Report to the FBO Operations Manager on daily activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Compliance-related duties:
  • Adhere to the documented procedures of the organization or department and retain documented evidence related to the performance of their role.
  • The employee is expected to exercise their duty of care, and must be aware of their health and safety responsibilities, accountability and authority; and shall comply with the policies and procedures outlined by the organization.
REQUIRMENTS:

QUALIFICATION
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in aviation operations.

  • Knowledge in aviation operations, flight operations and aviation regulations
