Department Overview:

The Legal and Compliance function supports the business by identifying and mitigating legal and compliance risks across all jurisdictions in which Jetex operates. The department advises on corporate governance matters, reviews and drafts legal documentation, and ensures regulatory compliance while supporting the companys strategic growth.

Job Purpose:

The Legal Assistant supports the General Counsel and the Legal team by handling day-to-day legal and administrative responsibilities, including legal documentation, coordination, and database management. The role provides support with contract review, correspondence, entity management, and due diligence activities, contributing to the smooth and effective operation of the Legal and Compliance function.


Job Duties and Accountabilities:

Contract and Correspondence Management:

Support the General Counsel with day-to-day legal and administrative matters.

Take over existing legal operational duties to ensure continuity and efficiency within the department.

Maintain legal files, trackers, and internal databases with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Assist with the review and preparation of standard contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence.

Support basic legal drafting under supervision, with progressive expansion of scope based on performance.

Ensure third-party agreements and non-standard documentation are escalated for legal review as required.


Entity Management and Legal Review:

Maintain entity trackers, corporate records, and group organograms.

Liaise with external legal advisors and consultants to support entity maintenance and regulatory filings.

Request and manage incorporation documents, licenses, and extracts from relevant authorities.


Due Diligence:

Assist with due diligence processes for customers, suppliers, and business partners.

Maintain accurate due diligence records and archives in line with internal policies.

Support compliance-related tasks as assigned by the General Counsel


Qualification: Degree in Law (mandatory)

Experience:1-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house exposure acceptable, aviation background preferred

Skillset:

Strong legal research and analytical skills

Basic contract review and drafting capability

Understanding of UAE legal framework is a plus

Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management tools

Languages:

Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Russian language is a strong advantage
