Department Overview:

The Operations department is responsible for providing and supervising flight support services to a variety of clients. It plays a critical role in ensuring that flights are operated in accordance with regulations and company policies. The department comprises of Commercial Aviation, Discovery, Flight Managers, Dispatcher teams. While the services are provided from the Manila office, the Dubai office supervises the quality of these services and maintains client relationships. 

Job Purpose:

The Flight Manager is responsible for ensuring that the entire flight operations service process is completed in an organized, efficient and safe manner. They coordinate flight operations in accordance with all regulations and requirements, this includes coordinating with various teams, and briefing crew/customers on flight details to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

Core duties: 

  • Coordinate with customers to understand requirements and communicate the requirements to relevant stakeholders like handling teams and relevant authorities. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day flight operations in accordance with regulations and requirements, and ensure operational safety and efficiency. 
  • Brief crew and customers on all aspects of the flight. 
  • Ensure completion of checklists for each arrival and departure. 
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Concierge, and Fuel department to deliver final brief to crew and customers. 
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders in cases of delays, changes or cancellations. 
  • Manage customer accounts from an operational perspective and submit monthly reports. 
  • Provide team support during overload periods. 
  • Execute and oversee first requests from new customers and important short notice requests. 

Internal management duties: 

  • Assist the Operations Director with service reports when necessary. 
  • Communicate flight operations incidents to Operations Director and management clearly. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Line Manager. 

Compliance-related duties: 

  • Adhere to the documented procedures of the organization or department and retain documented evidence related to the performance of their role. 
  • The employee is expected to exercise their duty of care, and must be aware of their health and safety responsibilities, accountability and authority; and shall comply with the policies and procedures outlined by the organization.

Requirements:

Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation or related field. FAA/DGCA Flight Dispatch License is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in flight operations.
Skillset:
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal)
  • Fluent in French (written & verbal)
  • IT skills (MS Office)
  • Sound knowledge in aviation operations, flight operations and aviation regulations.
  • Sound knowledge of safety requirements and procedures.
